The last week of half term

There's minimal photography from last week. I basically just didn't take many... it's not through lack of work, I've just been rather slack with the photo taking.

We've had some bridge building exercises. This one was J's attempt, a sort of suspension type:

And this one was N's bridge:

It has been a variable mish-mash of topics last week. Maths, English, you get the idea. N is really getting the hang of long addition and subtraction now, and J has gotten to grips with division. His recall of the times tables is also improving.

L and A have been doing their respective work. What more can I say about that? Not a great deal really!

We didn't get to go to the woods as the weather has been dreadful. I think we're all a bit disappointed about that.

A has broken up now for holidays but he has a lot of assignments to get on with for homework. The others are still working, but we're taking Thursday off to return to the Safari Park as we have a free return voucher code.

We're keeping this week Halloween themed for J and N's activities. Today they did Halloween themed English comprehension, and Halloween themed maths mosaics, as well as art in the form of pumpkin symmetry drawing. Twinkl. is, as ever, a wealth of useful worksheets!

To be honest I think everyone's concentration is wearing a little thin, so it'll be nice to have a break next week to recharge the batteries. The kids have worked hard this term.
